Ecochill Working Principle
In chiller systems, the compressor in the system operates continuously to meet the cooling needs of the user. In Ecochill systems, when the air temperature is lower than the desired water temperature, the compressors stop working and only the fans are activated.
The system cools the water in the circuit with the help of ambient air. In this case, the compressors do not operate, which helps to save significant amounts of energy in the system. In cases where the temperature of the air is higher than the desired water temperature, the compressors are activated and help to cool the water in the circuit.
For example; let the ambient temperature of your system be 5 °C and the desired water temperature be 15 °C. In this case, the compressors stop working and the fans are activated. Since the temperature of the air is lower than the desired water temperature, the system cools the water in the circuit thanks to the air. But in the opposite case, that is, if the environment where your system is located is 15 °C and the desired water temperature is 5 °C, the compressors are activated and bring the water to the desired temperature.
Ecochill systems should generally be preferred in environments with cold climates. Because; In environments with high temperature values, the fact that the air temperature is higher than the desired water temperature prevents the activation of ecochill technology.
